Macro Photography
Macro Photography
- Macro photography captures the beauty of your object at an up close variation.
- If you are looking for ideas, you can look at the previous years' websites for examples (some are good, some are not as good), the examples below as well as online.
- Something to remember: different lighting (your phone flashlight for example) is a great way to capture texture. Some textures are strong enough to be showcased with natural lighting.
- There is a Macro setting on your cameras but depending on the object, you may use other settings or your phone if needed for better quality. (I do not have access to Macro lenses at this time).
- Take 40 QUALITY Macro photos. You can edit on Pixlr or Photoshop if you'd like. You will put these on your final website and be graded on each one. Clarity, crispness and quality is key. There is a chance you could get a 50% on this project if effort is not put into it.
- When all 40 are taken and edited if chosen to do so, save each photo as Macro 1-40 in the Photography Drive-->2018-2019-->READY TO GRADE--> 10_Macro--> Your Name.
- DUE DATE: End of class on Wednesday, March 27, 2019
- REMEMBER: SPRING ACTIVITIES HAVE STARTED. WHETHER YOU ARE GONE FOR TRACK, GOLF, FFA, FCCLA, ETC. YOUR DUE DATE REMAINS THE SAME. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF FOREVER BEHIND. SEE ASSIGNMENT CALENDAR COMING SOON. UTILIZE HOMEROOM, BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL LATE GRADES WILL OTHERWISE BE APPLIED.

It's time to start thinking about your final business project! This is just a starting point, you can change your name, focus, etc.
Brainstorm ideas and get this done today (YES TODAY, it's not a typo)! It's not rocket science, it just takes some focus and some thought outside of the box.

For your first assignment in Photography, I want you to become comfortable with the camera and some of it's settings.
Below you will find two 'cheat sheets' to taking better photographs as well as today's assignment. I would like you to complete the scavenger hunt and use different settings on your camera while doing so. If the photo does not show up clearly and if your experiment doesn't work, try a different setting. There is no "right" or wrong" setting.
