The policies below are also included/noted on the syllabus. Please see other detailed information under the
2023-2024 -> Syllabus/Classroom Form tab
Late Assignment Policy
PLEASE utilize any available time before school or after school to work on late work. Without communication or plans prior, your grade will drop a minimum of 10% per day late based on this policy. This policy is for LATE WORK, not work that is not turned in if you are home sick.
Grade Breakdown (Example):
Sports
Athletes, your assignment is still due on the date originally assigned. Make up slips will be handed out by your coach/advisory. PLEASE LOOK AT THE ASSIGNMENT GIVEN and communicate with me so I can help you get started. Work ahead on your assignment or come in before or after school, I will work with your coach to make sure you’re caught up. Again: due dates will remain the same. There will be plenty of class time to work on all assignments. PLEASE communicate with me any questions or issues you are having as I will adjust/work with you as needed if you talk with me before hand.
Sick Work: If you are out of school sick for 1 day, you will receive 2 FULL days to complete the work. Example:

Sick Work: If you are out of school sick for 1 day, you will receive 2 FULL days to complete the work. Example:
- You are sick on Monday and return to class on Tuesday. You will be able to work on your assignment that we worked on while you were gone during class that day. You can utilize Homeroom, after school, before school, work on the assignment during class the next day and have until THE BEGINNING of the next class period to complete the assignment. However, please be mindful of what we are currently doing in class as I don’t want you to forever behind. Extra time (on your own, at home, before/after school/by appointment may NEED to be utilized to catch up.
- Essentially, you will have the amount of days you are sick + 1 additional day.
- 7th and 8th grades: Even though you have 2-3 times per week, sick work will be based PER DAY, not PER CLASS period. We will discuss this and figure out a reasonable time table upon your return.
