Choose a picture of YOURSELF - or a CELEBRITY!

Step 1: The video below quickly shows how to follow the original photo using the pen tool to shade and vectorize the image.
Step 2: After viewing the steps and details required, choose a photo to illustrate
Step 3: Watch the tutorial you chose to illustrate your photo.
Turn into Classroom!!

Adobe Illustrator III: Vectorize any Photo
The difference between Photoshop and Illustrator is Photoshop works with rasterized files and Illustrator works with vector files. In the <10minute below, you will use the 2 axe images provided for you, follow along with the video and vectorize them. When you are done, I want you to vectorize 5 photos of your choosing. You can save all of these to the same file using various artboards. Tomorrow we will work on creating text.

Newspaper Front/Inside Page
Using text, photos, lines, fonts and columns, you will create your own newspaper layout. You will use already written articles -  type them out yourself and photos. Below you will find the assignment description, sample layout example and a background if you choose to use it. Backgrounds are NOT required but give an extra touch. The background does not count as a photo.

Insert Photo Into Text
Before we move on to Illustrator, watch the tutorial below. Using BOTH methods (on one InDesign document), follow the steps to create name art. Find TWO photos that define you. Use one for the first method (outlined name) and the photo for the second method. This video is short, if you find your photos first, it should be easy to follow along with the video!

Intro to Premier Pro!!
Tuesday, September 6, 2022

Today we will focus on the most important part of creating a video - Planning. In order to create a successful production of any sort, (movie, series, podcast), there needs to be a plan. There are many steps that can be followed - I chose to focus on the following five:
  • Film Development
  • Pre-production
  • Production
  • Post-Production
  • Distribution

View the descriptions of these below. The website focuses mainly on Indie films. I chose this film type as many of our Hollywood hits start as an Indie Film or are screened at Indie Film festivals. If the films show potential success, writers often take the idea and make it a cinematic hit. Some of the most cinematic roles are:
  • Producer
  • Director
  • Screenwriter
  • Production Designer
  • Art Director
  • Costume Designer
  • Cinematographer
  • Editor
  • Actors
  • Music Supervisor

Use the websites below to view the different stages of film production and the descriptions of different production team roles.

Assignment:
On a Google Doc, in your own words, define all 15. .
Think about your favorite movie - describe what happens in each production stage for this to be a success.
Also, decide which production role you are most interested in and explain why - be specific.

Tomorrow we will start our film unit.
