Music Video Project
Due date: Wednesday, March 27 at the end of the day. (4:00pm)
Requirements:
  • Specific video requirements are noted in the Word Document below.
  • Group requirements: 1-4 people in a group. NO MORE. [Just because you were in a group of 4 before does not mean you will be for this project]. Each group member will need to be shown during the video doing their part as a "character" (musician). If you have a band with 3 members, do no have 4 people in your group. You CAN use other classmates/extras in your video but after choosing your song (and okaying it with me), you need to have the correct amount of people. [I will have a list of people who ok with me at my desk, do this today!]. Watch music videos on your phones for ideas. Questions? Ask me. More than 4 in a group can be discussed (I can visualize numerous music groups with 4+ members - this needs to be OK'd with me first!!
  • Editing software: nothing specific required. Use the editing software of your choice.
  • Absences: Those gone for FFA and Track will need to make up the project on your own time. Due date is STILL Wednesday at 4pm.

Due Date: END of class Thursday, March 14 (You will have 3 full blocks to work and edit, use time wisely).
**Date will change with any snow days**
News Program Project
As a group of 4, you will be creating an entire news broadcast. Shoot each individual part of your news broadcast segments separately, then piece the segments together. This will be easier for editing! Use storyboards. Use a newsroom technique combined with on-site shots. All group members MUST be in this project, have a segment they introduce and speak for. Your news cast will be edited and put together in logical sequence with titles or other special effects and viewed by the class.  All segments will be filmed on school grounds. You can stage your scenes – think ahead! You will insert your 3 commercials.

Infomercial Assignment
PRESENTATION DATE: Wednesday, February 20

Brainstorm, plan, script, setting, film, edit
  • Brainstorm ideas
  • Plan what you will need for your infomercial. Create props, backgrounds, items you will need for this tutorial. Bring whatever you need to class tomorrow for filming.
  • Create some sort of script. This is important when creating a video. If you just wing it, your video will look sloppy and thrown together. You need to appear to be prepared and professional. Your script does not need to be word for word.
  • Stumped? Google ideas.
  • Pertinent Information: You will be in groups of 2-3. EVERYONE will need to be on film, speaking at some point.
  • In order to move on, you will need to show me your idea sketch, your script and plan going forward.
