Week 3 Learn From Home Assignments
Week of March 30-April 2 Due Date: Thursday, April 2 @ 10pm
Hey guys,
Welcome to Week 3. I sure wish we were in school. We will finally be starting videos next week. We can talk a little bit about that this week. I would like to set up a Zoom at 11:30am on Tuesday. Please check your email this week in case I have any other info to pass on. If you have ANY questions, please let me know. You guys have been rocking this E-Learning. I appreciate your effort as we go through this together.
This week the focus is the importance of script writing. Last week you put together a presentation about the 5 stages of film production and roles of the production team. Your assignment this week is due on THURSDAY at 10pm as we weren't scheduled to have school on Friday. I don't want you doing homework when you wouldn't be if we were at school. (Sad, it was supposed to be prom). This week, I want you to:
Assignment tip: I would look at the document first, jot down what each element and understand what the elements mean. Find and look through the script and note the elements as you go through it. Watch the movie while having the script and this document handy. Piece together your notes and put in a doc.

(Sad, it was supposed to be prom). This week, I want you to:
- Find, download and read through (I realize you won't read every single word - I don't expect you to) the script of your favorite movie. It CAN be the movie you focused on in last week's assignment or a different one. Pay attention to the important elements of the script (see the top portion of the document below)
- Watch the movie you found a script for. While you're watching the movie, analyze the script. I want you to understand what is happening behind the scenes of the film. Pay attention to the elements of the script (bottom portion of the document below).
- When you're done watching the movie, put your notes together and type a film analysis based on the script and the information you've found while gathering information based on the document below. I am not giving you a max or min word count. To receive full credit, I will be grading on the quality of the information. Your grade will be based on the effort you give.
- What to turn in: Your analysis and a copy of the script. If you can't download it, send me the link so I can view what you're working with.
- ZOOM @ 11:30am TUESDAY.
