Week 6 Learn From Home Assignments

Week of April 20-April 24          Due Date: Friday, April 24 @ 5pm

  • Great work last week!! Now I want you to take this a step further! Using objects, material textures, etc., I want you to create a 3D image of a town. This can be at bird's eye view looking from the sky or a street view, looking at eye level. When I imagine this, I'm visualizing city structures, but you can certainly use a smaller, rural feel as well. I would like you to use different textures to create the visual of concrete, steel, metal signage, grass/trees, vehicles, and 3 other object visuals you choose to create. I am visualizing this on a large scale. Don't just add 3 buildings, a car, a sign or two and call it good. We all visualize things differently - that's why I'm giving loose guidelines, but I want you to put a lot of thought and creativity in this. Let's talk if you are having troubles getting started! Please export so you can upload to Classroom.
Assignment Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 buildings visible. The way they will appear will be based on the view you choose.
  • Minimum 4 textures
  • Minimum 2 colors
When you're done, either render the project and upload the file like you have been OR take a screenshot or picture and submit that.

Assignment Breakdown:
  • 3D Cityscape
  • Communication: Zoom at 1:45 on Tuesday or Email communication no later than FRIDAY at 5pm!
